Queen City specials

It’s the weekend and who is looking to have a good time? Good times are all around us in the Queen City. Friday night starts off with the all too popular art crawl which will take place in Noda. Noda is one of the art districts in Charlotte. Right off of North Davidson it is a five minute drive from uptown. Art crawls happen the first and last Friday of each month. Since the weather is getting warmer something is always happening in that area once the weekend hits. The galleries are open and welcome anyone to come in and view art. Light food and wine is provided. This is a great social attraction. A variety of people attend this and live music is played at local bars and restaurants. Music can be heard throughout the street, restaurants stay open late, and local vendors have some more affordable art for display on the sidewalks. This is something that should not be missed!

Dolce Vita an art gallery in Noda is featuring ARTcravings Silent Auction & Social. This is happening Saturday, May 1st at 3:30 p.m. Featured artists include Lauren Hamilton, Nancy Campbell, Donna Kirby, and Ruby McCarty. A portion of the art sales will be donated to charity.
Quail Hollow Golf Tournament is going on all weekend at Quail Hollow. Tiger Woods will be playing along with Phil Mickelson and a number of other competitors. The weather will be beautiful all weekend yet a chance of thunderstorms on Sunday. This is a great way to network through other business, meet new people, and a chance to take it easy on the golf course.

If you are not interested in attending any events and keeping a low profile go to your nearest Target store and check out Zac Posen’s new line. April 25 to May 30 his line will be carried at Target. Celebrities such as Nicky Hilton have been seen in his affordable Target line.
